Virginia Beach Tourist Information - Getting to Virginia Beach is very easy as there are many cheap flights to Virginia Beach and train travel especially for those who don't like flying.
Virginia Beach is a major tourist destination in the state of Virginia. Much of Virginia Beach life is centered around the stunning beach itself and also the oceanfront Boardwalk, which is lined with animated restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Virginia Beach is famous of having the world's longest pleasure beach.
Apart from sunbathing in the spacious golden sands of Virginia Beach, other highlights in Virginia Beach include water sports in the Atlantic Ocean and around Chesapeake Bay. Surfing has become one of the popular activity among many other fun beach activites.
Virginia Beach Tourist Information is promoted by The Visitor Services Division, Convention and Visitors Bureau operates two year round visitor information centers and two seasonal information kiosks. The main Visitor Information Center, located at 2100 Parks Avenue , is open daily with extended hours in the summer. The Chesapeake Bay Center , located in First Landing State Park, is also open daily. Two information kiosks operate in the resort area from May through September. These are located on the Boardwalk at 17th Street and on Atlantic Avenue at 24th Street.
Hotels in Virginia Beach are both plentiful and popular, with a large range of accommodation available for all budgets. Many Virginia Beach vacation rentals, holiday apartments, condos and hotels are concentrated along Atlantic Avenue.
Further hotels can be found close to Virginia Beach, in nearby Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and next to the surrounding airports of Newport News Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) and Norfolk International Airport (ORF).
There are plenty of gorgeous golf courses and many campgrounds for those who prefer to do camping, check out the scenic First Landing State Park at Cape Henry, featuring hiking, jogging, boating, cycling and picnicking.
