Virginia Beach Neptune Festival not only bring great music, but great bands, amazing performances and above all mesmerize the attendees by its beautiful sand castle creations. One of the largest festivals in state of Virginia with almost 500,000 tourists attending every year.
Atlantic Coast Kite Festival - Kite fliers and spectators of all ages will experience a visual feast at this popular event features variety of activities. "Flights of Fantasy" is the theme that participants will explore in this spectacular festival's "Best Kite Contest".
Beach Music Weekend blends the best of the “oldies” with dancing under the stars in a jam-packed blast to the past! Settle into the sand as the top Beach Music bands from up and down the East Coast descend on the Virginia Beach oceanfront in a nostalgic salute to the “good old days” of cool cars and hot tunes.
Caribbean Music Festival is a musical adventure set to the soothing sounds of steel pan music. The festival’s casual atmosphere appeals to the island community and people of all ages who are intrigued by the unique sounds and style of steel drum music!
Blues at the beach Celebrating one of the most cherished musical genres of all time, Blues at the Beach features three days of free concerts on an outdoor stage. Local, regional, and nationally-recognized Blues acts share the stage for a riveting and heartfelt tribute to the sights, sounds, and soul of the American experience.

Chalk the Walk event is all about participants making chalk drawings on four by four concrete blocks available right on Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Chalk-the-Walk participants are asked to incorporate the announced theme in their work.
East Coast Crab Soup is an open competition among restaurants. This event focuses on seafood, which is the most identifiable cuisine in Virginia Beach and a staple of area menus for decades.
Festa Italiana (Italian-American Festival)takes place in Virginia Beach for two days of pasta, Italian wine and beer, world-class entertainment, and family-friendly activities like grape stomping. People from all walks of life join for a two-day celebration of everything Italian.
4th July Fireworks takes place on numerous spots at Virginia Beach. To celebrate our independance day, the 4th of July night is mixed with fireworks and music. This musical program encompasses patriotic songs, Broadway standards, movie themes, and folk music.

Funk Fest celebrates the music of legends like James Brown, Geroge Clinton, Dyke & the Blazers, and many more. Funk is a music genre that originated in the late 1960s when African American musicians blended soul music, soul jazz and R&B into a rhythmic, danceable new form of music.
Gospelfest - This event features an electrifying two days filled with the inspiring sounds of Southern gospel, gospel hip hop, and praise music. Local and regional gospel dance groups, quartets, powerful vocalists, and gospel music choirs celebrate a genre of music that needs to be seen AND heard.
Virginia Beach Holiday Lights - Every year the Virginia Beach Boardwalk is decorated with animated nautical and holiday-themed light displays. Over 30 blocks of festive fish, jumping dolphins, and frolicking porpoises, sailboats gently rocking in the wind, and mermaids!
Virginia Beach Holiday Parade - Marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages!

Latin Fest - Based on a popular Latin fest in Miami, for two days, Virginia Beach celebrates the sights and sounds of the Latin experience. The Virginia Beach version retains the key ingredients of good food, family participation, and first-rate Latin music.
Mid Atlantic Hermit Crab Challenge - where the crabs are presented in their own unique decorated displays and judged on their creativity and flair is one of its kind. The races are organized throughout the day until the semi-finals. Then the championships are held in front of the crowd on the beach and boardwalk.
Monsters on the Beach - The event brings thrills and chills to the Virginia Beach oceanfront as Monster Trucks battle for ultimate sand domination! This family-targeted event is loud, fast, and exciting.
Oceana Air Show - A Blue Angels flight demonstration exhibits choreographed refinements of skills possessed by all naval aviators. It includes the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-plane Diamond Formation.

Oktober Beer Fest - Authentic German entertainment, food, and beer are all featured at what has become one of the zaniest and most enjoyable festivals to ever hit the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

Pirate Party on the Beach - Ahoy Mateys! Gather your family and friends and embark on a search for Cap’n Pete’s Treasure, buried somewhere on the beach! Unravel the clues, and YOU may be the ones to discover the buried treasure.

Pungo Strawberry Festival - Not only does the Festival have all the strawberries you can eat offered in over 50 different ways, activities include a pie eating contest, strawberry bake-off, continuous entertainment on three stages, a parade, one of the largest carnivals on the east coast.
Sandstock - A Tribute to Rock & Roll - is a tribute to the music of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s that “rocked our world!” National and local tribute artists who run the gamut and cover performers like Led Zeppelin to Queen to Journey crank out hit after hit on multiple stages at the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
Street Art Festival - Approximately 30 artists representing media such as paintings, jewelry, sculpture, and photography set up booths in the park to display and sell their work.
Super Safari at the Beach - Discover a little bit of Africa right here in Virginia Beach as you embark on a wild “Safari!” After the Safari you will have the chance to enjoy the movie.
