The East Coast Crab Soup is an open competition among restaurants. This event focuses on seafood, which is the most identifiable cuisine in Virginia Beach and a staple of area menus for decades.
The event starts at noon and ends at 4:00pm, tickets: $7 in advance through Ticketmaster (plus service charges) and $10 at the gate ( if available ) and is limited to 1,500 paying guests.
The event has two categories for the best recipe winners, with three places in each category.
One category is decided by the general public - each paying guest receives a sheet that is stamped at each restaurant’s station, allowing the opportunity to sample each offering and the other is by the panel of Hampton Roads food critics.
